Please join members of the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) to learn more about the plans underway to build the new Transbay Transit Center.

This new Transit Center will replace the current Transbay bus terminal at First and Mission streets in downtown San Francisco with a Grand Central Station of the West. The project will:

  • Create a Transit Center in downtown San Francisco that will connect the San Francisco Bay Area and the State through nine transportation systems: AC Transit, BART, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit, Greyhound, MUNI (including paratransit for seniors and the disabled), WestCAT, SamTrans and future High-Speed Rail
  • Provide transportation links to eight Northern California counties including San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Sonoma, Napa and Marin
  • Accommodate the future High-Speed Rail line, which will allow travel between San Francisco and Los Angeles in under two and a half hours and provide seamless connections between all of Northern California and San Diego, Sacramento and the Central Valley
  • Provide the capacity to accommodate the projected number of travelers estimated to use public transit from San Jose to San Francisco and San Francisco to the East Bay in future decades

For more information about the project, please visit: www.transbaycenter.org

The AC Transit Conference Room is wheelchair accessible. To request real time captioning, a sign language interpreter or other accommodations, please contact the TJPA at (415) 597-4620 or info@transbaycenter.org.
