TRANSBAY JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES BAREBOTTLE RETAIL LEASES AT SALESFORCE TRANSIT CENTER
San Francisco, CA – The Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) today announced that the TJPA Board of Directors unanimously approved two separate 10-year lease agreements at the TJPA’s Salesforce Transit Center to Barebottle Brewing Company, a nationally-recognized brewery located in Bernal Heights, that brews innovative beers inspired by the San Francisco Bay Area and develops new beers using local ingredients and a competitive method.
The leases bring Barebottle’s third & fourth locations to the Center by providing locally brewed beer and natively fermented wine with a light-bite menu at both the Salesforce Rooftop Park’s Main Plaza and the Salesforce Transit Center’s Grand Hall, on the ground floor facing First Street. Barebottle anticipates opening both new locations in late Spring of 2022.
“Bringing Barebottle to the TJPA’s Salesforce Transit Center and Rooftop Park adds to our diverse selection of food services that the growing neighborhood can enjoy and will help in the economic recovery of Downtown and the Bay Area,” said Nila Gonzales, Interim Executive Director, Transbay Joint Powers Authority. “I welcome Barebottle’s newest Bay Area locations to the Center and look forward to working with them as they offer their selections to our Park visitors and transit riders.”
“It is hard to imagine a more idyllic place to enjoy a beer and a bite to eat with co-workers and friends, than on top of an elevated four-block long park surrounded by SF architecture,” said Michael Seitz, Barebottle Co-Founder and CEO. “Until now, our brewery has been something of a hidden gem in Bernal Heights, and we are excited to bring our creativity and craft to what I think is going to be a ‘must see’ experience for residents and visitors to San Francisco.”
The new taproom joins a host of other businesses at the transit center, where tenants have now leased more than 92% of the available space.
Businesses that have leased space at the transit center include: Fitness SF, Kaiser Permanente, Verizon Wireless, Spring Fertility, Onsite Dental, Per Diem, Charleys, Venga Empanadas, Tycoon Kitchen, Acquolina, and Dim Baos.
Most recently, Happy Lemon opened their retail space at the western end of the Center and Philz Coffee reopened one of their two locations within the transit center (with the mobile location expected to reopen later this fall).
