DEMOLITION OVERVIEW
In order to make way for the new Transbay Transit Center at First and Mission streets in downtown San Francisco, the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA), along with contractor Evans Brothers Inc., demolished the existing bus ramp and Transbay Terminal facility.
The Transbay Terminal closed on August 6. Bus operations have relocated to the Transbay Temporary Terminal. Demolition activities lasted for eight months and occurred in four phases.
